Muhlenberg Greene Architects Honors Long-Time Employee with Special Day at Ryerss Farm

Reading, PA – June 2025 — Muhlenberg Greene Architects proudly celebrated a remarkable milestone this month: Magdalena “Dale” Johnson’s 40th anniversary with the firm. In recognition of her four decades of dedicated service, the company closed its office for the day and treated the entire team to a heartfelt outing at Ryerss Farm for Aged Equines in Pottstown, PA.

Dale, an esteemed and integral member of the team, is recognized not only for her professional excellence but also for her profound love of animals. To celebrate her passion, the team spent the day at Ryerss Farm—a sanctuary committed to the care and well-being of retired and rescued horses. The day included guided tours, time spent visiting with the horses, and a scenic picnic lunch on the grounds.

As a lasting tribute to Dale and her compassion, Muhlenberg Greene Architects also purchased a commemorative Stall Endowment plaque in her honor. The brass plaque, inscribed with her name, will be placed on the door of one of the horse stalls at Ryerss Farm—symbolizing the firm’s appreciation for Dale and their support for the sanctuary’s mission.

“Dale’s presence has shaped our workplace culture in countless positive ways,” said Bob Conklin, AIA, Vice President and Principal at Muhlenberg Greene Architects. “Celebrating her in a setting that reflects her love for animals made the day truly special—and the plaque ensures that her legacy will be felt both here and at the farm.”
Ryerss Farm, founded in 1888, is the oldest non-profit horse sanctuary in the United States, and a place that resonates deeply with animal lovers and community-minded individuals alike.

Muhlenberg Greene Architects extends heartfelt congratulations to Dale and thanks her for 40 years of integrity, kindness, and unwavering dedication.
